![]() Than either Wii Engine or Wiimednafen, Wiimednafen has the much better front end, imo. #REDDIT BEST GBA EMULATOR 2019 DRIVER#While Retroarch definitely has the better graphics driver for PC Engine/Turbografx16 Retroarch also has CPS1 and CPS2 Capcom games covered. Otherwise the Mame core in Retroarch is usually the better go to. It's the only Wii Mame emulator I've seen so far that doesn't mess up the fonts on X-men Arcade *and* has the voices playing at normal speed. The front end is decent since it's pretty easy to tweak and configure each game. Mame Wii is good if you're only intending to use it for older arcade games. I've actually played Kof2003 and SNKvsCapcom Chaos on my Wii through this version of Retroarch. It has two NeoGeo cores, one of which will run later games, but you need to use a program to prepare the roms for use beforehand. There is an exclusive modded version of Retroarch for Wii that has more cores. I believe it only supports up to KoF96 though, so any game after that which has larger memory size will not work. The publicly released Retroarch runs most NeoGeo games just fine with the included core. Most games require some tinkering and I don't think you can save the properties so that it will load up with the same emulation setting and button mapping each time. You can have both Wii64 and Not64 installed since they use different directories.Īs far as non-VirtualConsole N64 emulation goes, it's hit and miss, but it runs a decent amount of games just fine. Problem is that it's still using the same version number, so if you go looking for it, be sure to look for the version of Wii64 that has the rice and glide engines otherwise you might be finding the old version of Wii64 which is definitely vastly inferior to Not64. I believe the rice version does Goldeneye much better. It does run games that Not64 will not run. I think it might have replaced Not64, but haven't done enough testing. There is a newer version of Wii64 released within the last year that implemented a bunch of changes from Not64 and is also compiled with two graphic engines: glide and rice. ![]()
